Résumé de la CitizenCon 2023 !
I don’t know about you guys, but this CitizenCon 2953 left us with our heads in the stars !
A weekend that began, for many, on Friday the 20th with our 2-days Bar Citizen in Los Angeles!
Co-organized by our Commander-Fran, with Jorunn, DaPoets, NicAtNight, Scrapped, PenguinzPlays and Apollonaut.
The atmosphere was crazy from day one on the eve of CitizenCon, with over 1000 people and even more on day two!
Which made our partners, CIG, Tobii, Thrustmaster, John Raine Design Fabrication and PenguinzPlays very generous with:
2 Tobii Eye-Tracker, 3 T16k DUO, 2 StarRunner models, mugs, a hundred+ BarCitizen Los Angeles T-Shirts and THIRTY ships including several F8C, Zeus MR, Polaris, Carrack & Kraken in giveaways over the two days of our legendary Bar Citizen.
It was a tough but hype-filled morning that started early for our Commander-Fran, who was on site for CitizenCon. The hype was also present on Hugo Lisoir’s stream. In the studio, in the company of Joueur du Grenier, with members of Pulsar42, Calek and Daium to take you to the heart of the convention, following the presentations that simply made us dream.
And in between these presentations, nothing and no-one could stop our Commander-Fran from getting us interviews with CIG developers, which turned out to be full of exclusives.
Like the one with Brian Chambers (vice-president of development), who revealed that Squadron 42 was “Feature complete” and in polishing phase… 1 day before the same revelation by Chris Roberts !
Several people from CIG confirmed that most of the things we saw at CitizenCon should be coming within the next 12 months, such as the static meshing server. They’re hopeful that the dynamic meshing server will be as well. All this was confirmed by Benoît Beauséjour (CTO) himself!
During the presentation of the Be@con Events association (of which Fran is an admin), Hugo confirmed that he will be present for our 2nd BE@Con in May 2024.
To conclude this fabulous weekend in the best possible way, Fran once again outdid himself to give us the opportunity to thank Chris and Sandi Roberts themselves!!! We’d like to thank you for this incredible event, all these moments, all these years of work, this passion that all the CIG teams have for Star Citizen, which has resulted in a community like ours, just as passionate.
This CitizenCon, rich in emotion, has motivated us even more for the Star Citizen project, and also for our Be@con Events association. Indeed, we’re preparing streams and events that will continue to transport you to the stars & in style. So don’t miss any of our upcoming news, either here and/or on our social networks !
